Wearing it to work

The drape
Pin the front pleats and pleat the pallu over your shoulder. It stays put through the commute and keeps both hands free.
The blouse
Boat neck, collar or high neck, with three-quarter sleeves. In winter, a fitted turtleneck does the same job.
Everything else
A watch, small studs, a structured tote, block heels or loafers. Let the weave do the talking.
Short on time
Ask for pre-pleating and your saree arrives with the pleats pressed and stitched. It drapes in about five minutes.

Pick one hero
A heavy zari pallu wants a plain blouse. A quiet body with small butis can take a statement blouse. Never both.
The blouse
Sleeveless, halter, or a deep back with a tie, in the body colour or in black. We'll stitch it to your measurements.
The finish
Match your jewellery to the zari: silver with silver, gold with gold. Statement earrings or a choker, not both, and a metallic clutch.

Before you ask

Does a blouse come with the saree?

Yes. Every saree in this edit comes with an unstitched blouse piece, and we can stitch it to your measurements.

Can you stitch the blouse to my measurements?

Yes. Ask when you order and we'll send a short measurement guide on WhatsApp. Made-to-measure adds about five working days.

What is pre-pleating?

We press and stitch the pleats so the saree drapes in about five minutes, with no pins to fight. You can ask for it on any saree, along with fall and pico finishing.

Which sarees can I wash at home?

Anything woven with zari is safest dry cleaned, and that covers most of this edit. Ask us about a particular saree on WhatsApp and we'll tell you exactly how to look after it.

Are these sarees silk?

Only when we say so. When a saree is pure silk, the listing says silk. When it's a blend or art silk, the listing says that instead. Both drape well; blends cost less and are easier to look after.

Can I return a saree?

Unworn sarees with their tags can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Blouses made to your measurements can be altered but not returned.

Will it arrive before my event?

Tell us your date on WhatsApp before you order and we'll confirm whether we can make it.
